Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Fred Matiang’i has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening collaboration within the opposition, following a high-level consultative meeting with the Linda Mwananchi team led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.
The meeting, held at Matiang’i’s office in Karen, brought together key leaders to discuss strategic coordination ahead of the Linda Mwananchi team’s planned tour of Western Kenya. The consultations focused on enhancing cooperation within the United Alternative Government, a coalition positioning itself as a viable alternative to the current administration ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to Matiang’i, the discussions centered on aligning the coalition’s political strategy, improving coordination among partner parties, and ensuring a united approach as they engage citizens across the country. He said the coalition is committed to presenting Kenyans with a credible, principled, and people-centered leadership alternative.
Matiang’i emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue and regular consultations among coalition partners, noting that a united opposition is essential in advancing democratic governance and addressing the concerns of ordinary Kenyans.
He further stated that the coalition remains focused on promoting accountable leadership, defending the Constitution, and championing policies aimed at restoring public confidence in government institutions. He added that their shared vision is to place Kenya firmly on the path of national renewal, good governance, and inclusive development.
The meeting comes as opposition leaders intensify political engagements and grassroots mobilization in preparation for the 2027 polls, with regional tours expected to play a key role in shaping the coalition’s national agenda.
