President William Ruto has launched a scathing attack on opposition leaders, accusing them of serving external political sponsors instead of offering meaningful policy solutions for the country.
Speaking during a public address, the Head of State mocked the opposition’s political strategy, suggesting they lack an independent plan and rely entirely on instructions from wealthy political patrons.
“When you are being sponsored, you stop to think for yourself. The opposition has no real agenda for Kenyans—they need to go back to their sponsors to get a proper brief,” President Ruto said.
The President challenged opposition figures to step away from empty political slogans, sponsored media headlines, and rhetoric, urging them to instead present clear, competing economic ideas to transform the nation.
Ruto defended his administration’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and flagship initiatives like the Hustler Fund, emphasizing that his government remains focused on delivery rather than political games.
