VOI – The long-standing water crisis at Mwanyambo School may soon become a thing of the past.
This follows a KSh 2.4 million funding boost for the construction of a borehole, courtesy of Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Labour, Shadrack Mwadime, in collaboration with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
According to PS Mwadime, the drilling of the borehole will significantly boost educational standards and improve the overall environment of the school.
He further added that he will continue to support Taita Taveta County in mitigating water scarcity by distributing water tanks across various areas within the region.
On his part, the NSSF Coast Regional Coordinator, Nelson Tonui, stated that the organization will continue to spearhead community projects aimed at uplifting lives, alongside their core mandate of investing retirement funds.
The borehole drilling operations are expected to kick off officially following the launch.
