Chelsea have struck a full agreement with La Liga side Rayo Vallecano to sign 28-year-old left-back Pep Chavarría, marking the Blues’ latest addition in an active summer transfer window.
€25 million (~£21.4 million) guaranteed initial fee, plus up to €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
The move represents the most expensive departure in Rayo Vallecano’s history.
Chavarría has agreed to personal terms on a long-term contract running through June 2032.
Final paperwork and formalities are being completed ahead of an official club announcement.
