In an ongoing effort to enhance judicial efficiency and bring justice closer to the public, Judicial Service Commissioner Fatuma Sichale led a high-level delegation on an official working visit to the Mumias Law Courts.
Accompanied by a joint team from the Office of the Chief Justice and Judiciary Management, the delegation conducted comprehensive engagements with local Judicial Officers, station staff, and key members of the Court Users Committee (CUC).
The visit focused on critical priorities aimed at evaluating administrative operations, strengthening daily service delivery, and eliminating systemic bottlenecks that hinder the swift administration of justice at the station level.
A central component of the engagement was an open stakeholder forum, which offered court users, legal practitioners, and local community representatives a direct platform to share their experiences.
Participants proposed actionable, practical measures to streamline court procedures, reduce case backlogs, and improve overall public access to judicial services.
Underlining the administration’s focus on lower court operations, Registrar of Magistrates’ Courts Caroline Kabucho was also present to help assess facility needs and guide strategic interventions.
The delegation reaffirmed the Judiciary’s broader vision of fostering collaborative governance with Court Users Committees across all counties, ensuring that justice delivery across Kenya remains responsive, accessible, and community-centered.
