Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi is set to travel to Luanda, Angola, where he will represent President William Ruto at the 21st Extraordinary Session of the African Union Assembly on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
The high-level meeting comes at a critical time for Africa as the continent seeks to strengthen its capacity to prevent conflicts, manage emerging security threats and find lasting solutions to disputes affecting peace and stability across the continent.
Mudavadi’s participation will provide Kenya with an opportunity to advance its position on peaceful conflict resolution, regional stability and the adoption of African-led solutions to challenges facing the continent.
The summit is expected to bring together African leaders and senior government representatives to deliberate on strengthening the continent’s security architecture and improving the ability of African institutions and member states to respond effectively to conflicts.
