Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has issued a lighthearted yet sharp warning ahead of the highly anticipated Linda Mwananchi movement rally in Homa Bay.
Posting on his X handle, the lawmaker wrote:”Kuwakumbusha tu…program ya Sunday ni fupi sana. Na kama huezi dance kaa tu home. Wabiro Omabei!”
The message comes as momentum builds for the movement’s Nyanza tour scheduled for Sunday, August 16. Key figures associated with the political alliance including Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, Suba South MP Caroli Omondi, and Siaya Governor James Orengo are expected to lead the delegation.
While political chatter in the region has been heating up, the movement is keeping the mood upbeat and energetic. Siaya Governor James Orengo and other team leaders previously brushed off attempts by political opponents and local leaders seeking to block or disrupt the event.
Orengo assured supporters that no amount of noise or political sideshows would stop the Linda Mwananchi caravan from pulling up in Homa Bay, maintaining that the movement remains focused on connecting with everyday citizens and keeping the democratic spirit alive.
With the team laying down its action-packed schedule across Nyandiwa (10:00 AM), Sindo (12:00 PM), and Homa Bay Town (2:00 PM), the Sunday event promises a mix of political firepower, grassroots mobilization, and energetic turnout as the coalition continues to expand its footprint.
