In a concerted effort to foster national unity and inclusive governance, H.E. President William Ruto hosted Muslim religious leaders from across Kenya at State House for a high-level consultative engagement.
The strategic meeting focused on deepening collaboration between the national government and the Muslim community to address key issues of national importance, national cohesion, and socio-economic progress.
Addressing the leadership delegation Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, emphasized that inclusive dialogue is essential to sustainable nation-building, declaring, “A united Kenya is built when every voice is heard and every community has a seat at the table.”
He highlighted the indispensable role that religious institutions occupy in guiding the nation, noting, “Faith leaders continue to play an indispensable role in promoting peace, nurturing moral leadership and strengthening the social fabric that binds our nation together.”
During the consultations, executive leaders reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to treating faith organizations as trusted partners in driving inclusive development. “I reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to working closely with all faith communities as trusted partners in advancing peace, national cohesion and inclusive development,” Mudavadi stated, adding, “Together, we can strengthen dialogue, inspire hope and ensure that the benefits of development reach every corner of our country.”
The high-level gathering concluded with a shared pledge to strengthen structured dialogue and build stronger local communities through mutual trust and cooperation.
Reaffirming the long-term vision of state-faith collaboration, Mudavadi noted, “When Government and faith leaders work hand in hand, we build stronger communities, foster greater understanding and lay a firmer foundation for a peaceful, united and prosperous Kenya.”
