Ruto, CSs make fresh appointments to key State Boards

President William Ruto, alongside several Cabinet Secretaries, has announced a new wave of appointments and reappointments across state corporations and leadership boards. The changes, published via official Gazette Notices, aim to strengthen governance across key national agencies.

Major General (Rtd) William Karisa Shume has been appointed Non-Executive Chairperson.

Cecilia Mbaka will serve as Non-Executive Chairperson.

Dr. Thomas Kiprono Serem takes over as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. Joining the board as trustees are Wakiuru Njuguna, Dr. Fidelis Mwaka Muia, Dr. Samuel Tiriongo, and Prof. Jane Catherina Ngila.

Paul Kaino Cheboi, Eunice Wangui Karanja, Hardlyne Lusui, and Eng. Joseph Ouma Atonga were named new board members.

Prof. Daniel Njiru Mugendi and Prof. Fred Simiyu Barasa have been appointed as members.

Ndungu Guchu, Jimmy Munyao Mauta, and Dinah Samikwo join the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board, while Mashati Meitamei has been appointed to the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) Council.

Davidson M. Mwaisaka, Dr. Michael N. Walekhwa, and Joel Onditi were appointed to the Board of the National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation.

The appointments take effect immediately for three-year terms.
